Blog #6 Think!

 Hi, this is Airi.

Do you know "Think!"? That is not a verb, but the brand which is my favorite.

Think! is Austrian brand and has a branch in Omotesando. I met Think! about 7 years ago and at that time there is no branches of it in Japan, just a few Think!'s shoes placed at shoe stores and actually its shoes are expensive. But their all products are made by people one by one and they think about our health.

So their products are really comfortable. Our feet always support our body except we are sleeping, and if we broke our feet or legs it may cause of sickness of hip and back and connect with our bad paformance. There products themselves are expensive, but think about our future health, not so expensive. Some people pay lots of money for bags, clothes, accessories and so on... That is not bad things, but I want to pay more money than pay for those things to protect my body and my life.

I will put link to homepage of Think!, so check it:) You can see a lot of cute and unique shose!

Blog #6: ORBIS

Hello, this is Nozomi.

Do you know ORBIS, a brand which sells cosmetics, clothes, and supplements?

Its concept is to use materials which don't impose a burden on skin and the feature of its skin care products is to cut oil content completely. These positive elements are just the reason I like the brand.
I have a delicate skin by nature, so I have used the products of ORBIS for many years. Thanks to ORBIS, recently I have not had any inflamed wound.
In addition, we can buy its products at a reasonable price, which is also one of the fascinating points.

We can purchase the products not only at the shops but also via the Internet.

Blog #6: Suntory

by Asami
Pepsi cola, C.C. Lemon, Orangina, Lipton… and so on, there are many kinds of drink those are made by Suntory. Also they produce lots of famous alcohol drink such as malts beer, Yamazaki malt whiskeys, or Japanese spirit. However at the time of founding, Suntory was not famous in the alcohol industry, and the market dominated by other Japanese bland. There is a mini-challenge story which makes a success in the business!

1.    Products
Their main products are soft drink!

Also they have some bland of alcohol drink, such as Yamazaki whiskey 10 years, or single malt whiskey. Tastes very good!

2.    Mini-History(Story) of Suntory
Suntory’s alcohol industry started later than Kirin, Sapporo, or Asahi beer industry and in that time, those three companies are shared Japanese alcohol market. And further, customer didn’t recognize “Suntory”. Thus, Suntory planned to exit from the alcohol industry. However, Suntory worker didn’t want to give up the challenge.

Then the worker asked the CEO for re-trying to selling an alcohol again! And CEO said, “You won’t know that until you try.” And the whole staff decided to challenge. Before this things happened, CEO always said to staff, “You can’t know how to work if you didn’t do anything”. Workers worked so hardly, and finally Suntory got the place in the market! Now “You won’t know the until you try” is kind of company’s motto.

3.    Why I like it
Of cause I love their products’ taste! And I get comfortable with this bland taste and safety. Also, the company’s motto stick out in my mind, and it makes me that I want to try something!

Recently Suntory are selling “Orangina” where is from France!
You can see the advertisement here!
It tastes very good:D

By the way, Have a great summer vacation!

Blog#5: News

Hello! This is Sumire. I found a news about a residence tax. In 2013 at the end of December, the government made an conseideration of extension and reduction tax of housing loan which is out of due date. Making the deduction tax price subject of residence tax more wide and let people who has less income tax use the system of reduction tax up. This is helpful for us and make our country easy to live. It is Japan that is able to do this because the thought of sharing with other people.

Blog #5: A Nine-leaf Clover

Hello, everyone! I'm Nozomi.
Today I'd like to introduce an interesting article.

According to Mainichi Shinbun, a nine-leaf clover was found in Akita prefecture on June 15, 2012. Then, the Nature Conservation Society Of Japan certified it as a genuine nine-leaf clover. Yoshiaki Sugawara, a finder of the clover, had found from four-leaf to seven-leaf clovers, but that was the first time that he had found a nine-leaf clover.

I think this may be a small occurrence, but a heart-warming story. Nowadays, we hear a lot of bad news, such as the news of nuclear power stations, suicide and so on. A lot of bad news make me gloomy or sad, so when I read the article on a nine-leaf clover, I became happy. I hope good news like this will increase more.

Here is the article.

Blog #5 Lovely bill

Hi everyone, this is Airi.

If national holiday hits Saturday, it means that we lost a precious holiday. But it might be changed.
On July 4, the government, the Democratic Party of Japan announced that they think about a new bill about holiday. Now, it's national holiday hits Sunday, next Monday turn to be a holyday and if the bill passed, we can have another holiday in case of Saturday one.

Wow that's cool isn't it?! Did you think like that? Of course I did. But it includes some problems:  the number of classes will decrease because of increasing holidays and if they set Monday for makeup holiday, Monday will become almost the day of rest. And we can say same thing about companies, so the government think that make Friday for makeup holiday.

I think this idea about holiday is good for us. Because many Japanese should have more rest and it will affect good for the tourist industry, then society will become more active! Increasing holidays is good thing for travel or go out somewhere.
Did you know that news and what do you think?

Blog #4: The last supper of liver sashimi

Hello! This is Saori.Have you ever tried liver sashimi?? Even it is a raw beef liver, many people still like to have it. Yet to offer liver sashimi is finally forbidden by the government.

Good-bye liver sashimi… The standard of Food Sanitation Law which prohibit the offer and sale of raw beef liver was enforced at 7/1, 0:00 a.m. and the popular menu "liver sashimi" disappeared from the yakiniku restaurant.

The reason that liver sashimi must be forbidden is it is very hard to prevent the infection by Enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli 0157 which cause to severe food poisoning. And it is the only way to kill the bacteria that to heat raw meat.

Many people rush into rakiniku restaurant to eat liver sashimi as a “last supper”. The manager who is the one of rakiniku restaurants says “There are no vacant seats from the beginning of June.” Many consumers are disappointed to hear the news of liver sashimi.

In my opinion, it is the correct decision to ban liver sashimi even there is a huge demand. I have never eaten liver sashimi because I am scared of getting severe food poisoning. All shops which serve food and drinks must guarantee the safety of their products So I think that the mention on the menu “We can’t guarantee your physical condition after eating this product” is improper for the restaurants!

What do you think about the law of liver sashimi??
