Blog #5: A Nine-leaf Clover

Hello, everyone! I'm Nozomi.
Today I'd like to introduce an interesting article.

According to Mainichi Shinbun, a nine-leaf clover was found in Akita prefecture on June 15, 2012. Then, the Nature Conservation Society Of Japan certified it as a genuine nine-leaf clover. Yoshiaki Sugawara, a finder of the clover, had found from four-leaf to seven-leaf clovers, but that was the first time that he had found a nine-leaf clover.

I think this may be a small occurrence, but a heart-warming story. Nowadays, we hear a lot of bad news, such as the news of nuclear power stations, suicide and so on. A lot of bad news make me gloomy or sad, so when I read the article on a nine-leaf clover, I became happy. I hope good news like this will increase more.

Here is the article.

    1. Hello, I'm Nozomi.
Thank you for your comment and question!
I often see three-leaf clovers, but I have never seen four-leaf ones or more-leaf ones. Therefore, I was very surprised to hear the news!
